Kick-start healthy living with our affordable weekly and at-home medical weight loss programs! Your Health District has added two peptides for weight loss: Semaglutide and Tirzepatide! Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) produced by the gut. It increases insulin production, a hormone that lowers the blood sugar level while inhibiting glucagon secretion, which is a hormone that raises blood sugar, and reduces appetite and energy intake while delaying gastric emptying. It was first developed in 2012 as a longer-acting option for Liraglutide. In 2017 this drug was approved as an anti-diabetic medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. In June 2021, it got approved for chronic weight management in obese individuals with a (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2) or overweight (initial BMI ≥ 27 kg/m2) with at least one weight-related comorbidity.  L-Carnitine is an amino acid that benefits energy levels by transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they can be burned up and used as fuel. For this reason, many take carnitine as a weight-loss supplement to help accelerate fat burningReduces food intake by lowering appetite.

  • It slows food digestion in the stomach.
  • Decrease body fat percentage.
  • Weight loss.
  • Decreased cardiovascular outcomes in subjects with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
  • Lower HbA1c levels.
  • Enhance the growth of β cells in the pancreas.

Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide Plus is a once-weekly GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) receptor and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist, representing a new class of medicines studied for the treatment of obesity. Tirzepatide is a single peptide that triggers the body’s receptors for GIP and GLP-1, two natural incretin hormones. Cyanocobalamin will help increase energy.

GIP has decreased food intake and increased energy expenditure, resulting in weight reductions. Combined with a GLP-1 receptor agonist, it has a more significant effect on glucose and body weight effects.

  • Reduces food intake by lowering appetite.
  • It slows food digestion in the stomach.
  • Decrease body fat percentage.
  • Weight loss.
  • Decreased cardiovascular outcomes in subjects with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
  • Lower HbA1c levels.

HCG

HCG is a natural hormone produced in the body. It has many functions and is used medically to treat a variety of conditions. It is the pregnancy hormone. This hormone allows the body to metabolize fat and use it as energy for both mother and fetus. This acts as a “fail-safe” mechanism when energy is needed immediately. For weight loss, we use only a very small amount of HCG to capitalize on this same mechanism.

HCG works to mobilize fat for utilization by the body only when there is a significant decrease in calories and fat. For weight loss, a very low calorie diet of all the right foods is used to trigger HCG to help rid the body of fat. It is true that normally when cutting back on calories and fat, our body stores fat and our metabolism slows down. This happens because fat is really a life-saving source of stored energy. When a very low calorie diet is used in conjunction with the HCG, the hormone signals the body to used stored fat for energy, and will eliminate excess fat reserves. It is a natural process, so no ill effects on your metabolism will result. The HCG keeps the body from going into starvation mode and holding onto fat as it resets your metabolism.
